Liz is a specialist banking and financial services lawyer with over 15 years' New Zealand and international experience acting for borrowers, lenders, originators and trustees. 

Liz joined Kensington Swan as a partner in 2020, having previously been a partner at another New Zealand law firm. 

Liz helps her clients achieve the outcomes they want by providing excellent legal advice while being accessible, reliable and easy for clients to deal with. She has particular expertise in property and construction finance, asset finance and acquisition finance. She is known for providing effective, simple solutions to clients' legal issues.

Liz has been consistently recognised by both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500, with Liz being recognised by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific as a lawyer who "consistently delivers strong and clear advice".

  • A lender in funding part of the acquisition by NZ PropCo Limited of the Todd Property Group sell-down.
  • The overseas lenders in the refinancing of banking facilities made to the MediaWorks group.
  • The overseas lenders in funding the acquisition by Champ Private Equity of the Strait Shipping group.
  • The finance parties in secured as well as structured funding arrangements made available to Air New Zealand in connection with a fleet of aircraft.
  • An Australian fund in the purchase of Hunters Plaza, Auckland.
  • A major New Zealand bank on an ongoing basis in connection with its property and construction finance portfolio including the construction of certain stages of Tauranga Crossing and the construction of the technology park, Manukau Institute of Technology.
