Campbell is a senior associate in our Wellington M&A corporate and commercial team, with a particular focus on technology and privacy. He returned to Kensington Swan in January 2018 after five years living and working as a lawyer in London.
He provides advice on all corporate and commercial matters including corporate governance and M&A, procurement, privacy and data protection, IT agreements (including SaaS, agile and waterfall software development, and traditional licensing), IP licensing and consumer and marketing law compliance.
He has a particular interest in innovation, payments, fintech and legal tech.
In addition, Campbell has advised numerous clients on compliance with privacy and data protection law, including the implications of the introduction of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for clients based both within and outside the EU, and the implications of New Zealand privacy law reforms.

Campbell takes an active interest in the development of privacy law in New Zealand and the intersection of privacy law and technology. He was the co-author of the firm's submissions on the Privacy Bill, and presented those submissions to the Justice Committee on the firm's behalf.
