David has practised commercial law in Auckland since the early
1980s. David established KPMG Legal on 1 September 1998 which
successfully merged with Kensington Swan in 2000. David is a
member of the firm’s Board and holds a number of other
positions within the firm.
David has a wide range of commercial experience and acts for a large
number of national companies and local subsidiaries of
multinationals. David’s key areas of expertise include:
Corporate law, including corporate governance, restructuring, share
schemes and offers.
Mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, overseas
investment, competition issues, and amalgamations.
Commercial law, including compliance issues, buying / selling /
leasing goods and services, consumer affairs, joint ventures and
franchising.
David also has extensive experience in experience in certain
industry sectors, such as health, sports, gambling, finance and
retail.
