salt™ Health
and Safety in Employment

Regardless of the size or nature of your workplace, an understanding of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 is critical.

Course Content

According to the Department of Labour there were 65 workplace fatalities during the  year ending June 2006. This is an increase of 44% from the previous year. Compliance with health and safety legislation is important in order to prevent fatalities and injuries.

Failure to comply with the legislation may reflect an unsafe workplace and lead to serious repercussions in the form of prosecutions, negative publicity, and low workplace morale.

Your organisation will benefit from salt™ Health and Safety as it recognises each workplace is different and caters accordingly to employers, employees, the self employed and principals.

The course guides the user through their compliance obligations under the Act. Fact sheets provide a quick  and helpful summary at the beginning of each lesson.  The duties and implications prescribed by the Act are practically illustrated through examples and quiz questions.
