Our Expertise

Our team of experts and experience in franchising covers the design, establishment, development, ongoing operation, restructuring and sale and acquisition of franchises.  As a member of the Franchise Association of New Zealand Inc (FANZ), we are well aware of current trends in franchising, including current proposals for franchise legislation and mandatory codes of practice.  We also advise on the structuring and establishment of new franchises in New Zealand, whether based on greenfields concepts or existing businesses.

We have experience in the restructuring of existing franchises and the conversion of existing distribution and sale networks into business format franchises to meet all industry needs.

In addition to ongoing market compliance advice for all franchises and networks, we provide dispute resolution and mediation of dispute advice to franchisees, master franchisors and suppliers and our team specialise in the operation of all types of networks in commerce and industry, including supply, distribution, warehousing, supply chains and outsourcing all of these.

We advise on compliance with the FANZ Codes of Practice and Ethics. Membership of FANZ and compliance with the codes is not yet compulsory. We maintain close relationships with a broad range of franchising industry participants including consultants, accountants and professional associations.
