Paul is the Business Director of Kensington Swan's
Infrastructure Business Unit. He has vast experience in construction
law, infrastructure projects and civil and commercial
litigation. The range of Paul's client base is broad,
stretching from private individuals to large companies, government
entities and local authorities.
Paul has
dealt with a wide range of construction and infrastructure issues in
the transportation (road and rail), water and energy areas. He
has also advised on stadium contracts, and commercial and residential
developments. Paul provides specialist advice on the tender process,
contract documentation, claim preparation and presentation, and
dispute resolution (whether by mediation, arbitration or litigation).
Paul has
significant front end experience. He provides advice on all standard
and specialist construction contracts, including NZS3910, FIDIC,
Alliance Contracts and PPPs.

Paul has
been on the Executive Council of the Auckland Branch of the New
Zealand Contractors’ Federation for seven years. He has
recently co-authored a detailed 70 page report on
‘Infrastructure Development in Comparative Nations –
Insights for New Zealand’
with the Chief Executive of the New Zealand Council for
Infrastructure Development and discussed the conclusions with
Government Ministers, Crown Entities and Local Authorities.
