“There is no problem that is insurmountable.”

Chris Booth is a Partner and head of Kensington Swan’s Construction team in Auckland.

For the past 12 years Chris has worked exclusively in the building and construction field and is equally at home providing “front end” advice on building and construction tenders and contracts and advising and appearing as counsel in mediations, adjudications, arbitrations and court cases involving building and construction related disputes.

Chris is familiar with all the New Zealand and international standard form building and construction contracts.  He has experience in the drafting and negotiation of tender and contract documents for a variety of projects including numerous roading and roading maintenance contracts, wastewater treatment plants, geothermal powerplants and highrise buildings.

In the case of building and construction disputes, Chris has acted for employers, consultants, head contractors, subcontractors and suppliers over the past 20 years.  These include tendering disputes, professional negligence claims, claims for variations and time extensions, prolongation and disruption claims, breaches of contract and termination disputes.

Chris speaks and writes regularly on construction law issues.
