in the commercial department of another large national firm in 1981
in commercial leasing. She has practised in legal firms both in Auckland
and Wellington
and predominately in property work. Christine has also had
considerable experience in the financial services industry and
financial markets over the years.

diligence.
Subdivisions.
Christine is currently working with
a Ministry advising on the documentation associated with meeting
their requirements for the development and/or leasing of commercial
space throughout New
Zealand.
This close association also involves
workshopping with her government clients to ensure that they are
abreast of legislative developments.
Additionally, Christine undertakes commercial
leasing work in the private sector for a wide range of both landlords
and tenants.
She has also recently advised
another government department on the process for disposal of surplus
properties. This required a thorough understanding of the nature of
Crown ownership for each parcel of land, and also the impact of
legislation such as the Public Works Act, Resource Management Act,
Conservation Act and Treaty Settlements Act on the disposal process.
Christine also undertakes
subdivision work for developer clients involving the drafting of
instruments for registration to give effect to both Council and her
client’s requirements. She further utilises this extensive
background knowledge and experience to provide thorough property due
diligence advice for projects.
Christine’s broad experience
can assist her clients through all aspects of property dealing, and
her commercial experience both inside and outside of the legal market
means that she can deliver innovative and pragmatic advice.
