Charlotte is a registered Patent Attorney who practises exclusively in the field of commercial Intellectual Property law.  She has over 10 years experience with a wide range of intellectual property issues, such as:

*  protection and enforcement of trade marks

*  registered designs

*  copyright

*  plant variety rights

*  patents and trade secrets.

Charlotte provides clients with detailed advice on their ability to protect and enforce intellectual property, and also deals on a daily basis with drafting and reviewing commercial contracts regarding such intellectual property.

Charlotte regularly provides advice to local and international organisations concerning the availability and registrability of their trade marks, as well as providing trade mark infringement advice.  She assists with the protection, enforcement and licensing of both trade marks and plant variety rights in New Zealand and overseas, and manages clients trade mark portfolios.

She has experience with advising clients on ownership, protection and enforcement of copyright works, and in particular compliance with the Copyright Act 1994.

Charlotte is also a specialist in more general aspects of intellectual property law, for example publishing, distribution and licensing agreements, research and development agreements, intellectual property ownership agreements and assignments.  In addition, Charlotte is involved regularly in intellectual property due diligence projects.
