Carl is a specialist employment
lawyer and commercial litigator in the Wellington office of Kensington
Swan.
Carl offers a practical and
cost-effective approach to the resolution of a wide range of
employment law matters, including advocacy in the Employment Court and Employment
Relations Authority, mediations, corporate restructurings, collective
bargaining, dealing with personal grievances and defending Health and
Safety prosecutions.
In addition to his employment law
expertise, Carl has strong general litigation experience having
worked as a litigator for large commercial law firms in New Zealand and London, and as a Crown Prosecutor. Carl
has appeared before courts and tribunals throughout New Zealand,
and before United Nations judicial panels.
Before joining Kensington Swan, Carl
spent three years in Geneva
where he was a senior legal adviser in the International Red Cross. Carl
is also an adjunct lecturer in the Law Faculty of Victoria University
of Wellington, and is a contributing author of Brooker’s District Courts Procedure.
