Aleyna joined Kensington Swan’s
Litigation team as a solicitor in 2007. She works in the area of
Civil Litigation and general advocacy.
Prior to joining Kensington Swan Aleyna
worked in private practice, predominantly in the area of personal
injury litigation, civil litigation and judicial review. In that role
she appeared extensively in the District Court, at ACC review
hearings and mediations.
Since joining the firm Aleyna has had
experience in a wide range of issues involving dispute resolution,
administrative law, medico-legal and health law, prosecution of
disciplinary statutory bodies and insolvency litigation.
She has appeared in the Court of Appeal,
High Court, District Court and Health Practitioners Disciplinary
Tribunal, and also has experience in other forms of dispute
resolution.
Recent work includes:
the prosecution of
professional disciplinary matters for statutory bodies
insolvency matters
for insolvency practitioners, directors, shareholders and creditors
Privacy Act and
Official Information Act advice on requests and management to both
private organisations and government departments
advice
on regulatory compliance in the public sector.
